イラン国会議員選挙|選挙イヤー2024

3月1日に行われたイランの国会(Majilis)の議員選挙は、現時点で490議席のうち、投票率が20%を切った選挙区の45議席が再投票となっているため、確定はしていないが、保守派が圧倒的多数の議席を獲得した。イラン国民が保守派を選択したというよりは、選挙の前に候補者の適格審査を行う護憲評議会(保守派の聖職者が中心)が改革派・穏健派の候補を軒並み失格にした結果である。2021年の大統領選挙も同様に護憲評議会による選別によりライーシが大統領となったが、それが繰り返されたため、国民の間にはしらけムードが漂った選挙となった。注目された投票率は史上最低の41%であり、テヘランでは投票された票の中で白票が25%にのぼり、他の都市部も同様だったとのこと。これまでイスラム聖職者による統治と共和主義的な統治の複合体制として機能してきたイランを支えてきた「選挙による体制の正統性」が失われつつある。(鈴木一人)

Kazuto Suzuki is Professor of Science and Technology Policy at the Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Tokyo, Japan. He graduated from the Department of International Relations, Ritsumeikan University, and received his Ph.D. from Sussex European Institute, University of Sussex, England. He has worked for the Fondation pour la recherche stratégique in Paris, France as an assistant researcher, as an Associate Professor at the University of Tsukuba from 2000 to 2008, and served as Professor of International Politics at Hokkaido University until 2020. He also spent one year at the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University from 2012 to 2013 as a visiting researcher. He served as an expert in the Panel of Experts for Iranian Sanction Committee under the United Nations Security Council from 2013 to July 2015.
