[Event Report] IOG hosted the “Securing the Digital Horizon: EU-Japan Cooperation on Emerging Disruptive Technologies and Critical Infrastructure” Policy Workshop
On March 24th, 2026, the Institue of Geoeconomics was proud to host “Securing the Digital Horizon: EU-Japan Cooperation on Emerging Disruptive Technologies and Critical Infrastructure” Policy Workshop event.
The event explored how Europe and Japan can forge a stronger relationship in the emerging and disruptive technology space, as well as how we can better safeguard digital infrastruceres, which are now crucial in our interconnected world.
Amongst the many esteemed guests who attended, IOG is proud that Dr. Kazuto Suzuki, Director of IOG, Hirohito Ogi, Senior Research Fellow, and Kota Umeda, Research Fellow also participated in the two panel discussions held during the day, where they shared their insightful analysis to those in attendenace.
The Institute of Geoeconomics is honored to have helped facilitate meaningful dialogue amongst partners, and is looking forward to helping bring about stronger relationships amongst like-minded countries.
