Profile
After graduating from Keio University, he joined Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, where he was engaged in the semiconductor business, covering manufacturing operations, sales and marketing, and business planning and execution. He was also engaged in business operations and government relations under the U.S.–Japan Semiconductor Agreement.
Following his secondment to the Japan Business Federation, he transitioned to corporate staff functions, where he led industry restructuring initiatives in the semiconductor sector, including M&A, and led responses to international cartel litigation. He also oversaw global group company management and government affairs.
From 2018, he began analyzing U.S. legislative and regulatory frameworks, including the National Defense Authorization Act. In 2020, he established the first dedicated economic security unit within a Japanese private-sector company at Mitsubishi Electric. Since then, he has led practical implementation in this field while systematizing and translating it into practice his expertise. He was appointed Executive Officer in 2023 and stepped down upon completion of his term in March 2025.
He currently serves as a government advisor and advances the implementation of economic security in corporate practice, bridging business and government at the intersection of practice and policy.
